Content rules
Last updated October 5, 2026
Barmaris Studio makes photos and videos of you — an adult, with your consent. These rules apply to every photo you upload, every frame and video you generate, every text you write and everything you publish or share. Breaking them can lead to removal of content, warnings, strikes and a ban.
1. The basics
- Your own face only. Reference photos must show you and nobody else.
- Adults only. You must be 18 or older, and so must the person in the photos.
- Everything is labelled. Every photo and video made with Barmaris Studio is AI-generated and labelled as such.
2. Not allowed
| Category | What is not allowed |
|---|---|
| Sexual content | nudity and sexually explicit or sexually suggestive images or text, including “artistic” nudity and sexualised poses or clothing |
| Minors | any sexual content involving minors (reported to the authorities), and any photo or generated person who appears to be under 18 |
| Other people | photos of other people, of children or of public figures; asking to depict a named real person other than yourself; impersonation |
| Violence | gore, weapons pointed at people, promotion of violence |
| Hate | hate symbols, slurs, dehumanising content |
| Self-harm | promoting or instructing self-harm |
| Drugs and weapons | promoting drug use or illegal weapons |
| Personal data | documents, card numbers, addresses or phone numbers in images or text |
| Spam | repetitive promotion, link farms, scams |
3. Allowed
Fashion, swimwear in a non-sexualised beach setting, artistic and editorial styles, travel and everyday scenes — anything that fits these rules and shows you as you would like to be seen.
4. Reference photos
Each of your three reference photos must show exactly one face — yours — clearly and in good light. The three photos must show the same person. Photos of anyone who may be younger than 18, of public figures or of other people are rejected, and confirmed attempts lead to a ban.
5. How we check
Every uploaded photo, every generated frame and video, and every text (prompts, titles, captions, comments, profile details) is checked automatically before it is used, shown or published. Some cases are reviewed by a person on our safety team. Nothing reaches the community or a share page without passing these checks.
6. Reporting
Use Report on a publication, comment, profile or prompt to tell us about content that breaks these rules. When three people report the same publication or comment, it is hidden until our team has reviewed it.
7. What happens when rules are broken
| What happened | What we do |
|---|---|
| A first blocked text in a less severe category | the content is rejected and you receive a warning |
| Repeated blocks or a blocked publication | a strike, which expires after 90 days; three active strikes lead to a review of your account |
| Sexual content involving minors | the content is blocked, preserved for the authorities and reviewed with priority; confirmed cases lead to a permanent ban and a report to the competent authorities |
| Impersonation of a real person with sexual content | a ban |
A banned account cannot sign in, and its share pages and publications are no longer available.
8. Appeals
- Hidden or removed content: appeal from the notification about the decision in the app.
- A blocked account: we e-mail you the reason and a link to appeal at barmaris.com. A person reviews every appeal and answers by e-mail. You can also write to safety@barmaris.com.
Bans for child sexual abuse material are permanent.
9. Legal duties
We report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities, keep evidence as the law requires and cooperate with law enforcement requests that meet legal requirements. Authorities can reach us at [contact point for authorities — pending, Q-33].
